Heritage Open Days at RCY 10-13th September


Royal Clarence Yard is participating in Gosport's Heritage Open Days for the first time in 2015. Please put this in your diaries, come along, and bring friends! Here's an outline of the expected programme:

All 4 days

  • The former Bakery will be open 10am - 5pm, containing display of artwork & local history. Refreshments/cake available (provided by the Pump House cafe)

  • Guided history walks through RCY (bookable at the Discovery Centre today or from Sunday via the Tourist Information Office)

  • North Meadow Artists studios open

plus on Friday

plus on Saturday & Sunday

  • Vintage buses and the Sultan Steam Lorry in Cooperage Green

  • Handmade Fair and Vintage Market in the Slaughterhouse (Slaughterhouse open to the public for the first time)

  • Stalls, children's activities, puppets, music

  • Little Brigs visits in the Marina

  • Naval History re-enactment camp in North Meadow

  • Welcome and 'taster sessions' offered by various RCY businesses in Cooperage Green

  • artisan food market on the waterfront

  • classic cars in Flagstaff Green

Visitor parking will be in Cooperage Green.
