Almost 300 people have responded to the Royal Clarence Yard Water Bus Survey, which is researching questions about level of interest and frequency of use. The survey is still running as the organisers are keen to hear from as many people as possible.
Some interim results have been released and published on the RCMRA website. So far, the response indicates a strong interest in the re-establishment of a ferry between RCY and Portsmouth. The most popular times of the day for people who would use the service regularly are for a service during commuter hours Mon-Fri and 10am-12 noon at the weekend.
Here are some of the comments people have made with their responses:
The majority of respondents come from RCY or near RCY, with 28% coming from Priddy's Hard or Hardway. The organisers would like to hear from more people living north of Forton Lake (eg Priddy's Hard, Hardway & Elson), so please pass the information and the link to the survey on to them.
