Home, Garden & Craft Fair a success

The Home, Garden & Craft Fair on Saturday 14th May attracted an estimated 1500 people to the Royal Clarence Yard Waterfront. With over 50 traders (food & drink, crafts, plants and others); children's activities; live music, guided walks and a chance to see inside the former Bakery & Slaughter House, there was plenty for everyone to do and see.It was really great to see the RCY Waterfront full of people and buzzing.

The one-day Waterbus service direct from Royal Clarence Marina to Portsmouth Harbour was a popular addition to the event and provided useful information to the RCY Waterbus Project Team, which is working to bring back a regular daily service across the harbour. (For more information on this project, click here).

Many thanks to to the organisers of the Fair, including Hants Events, and the many volunteers who helped out on the day. Special thanks go to local volunteer group, Loud & Proud, who helped with the car-parking and other tasks during the day.

The next public event at Royal Clarence Yard will be during Gosport Heritage Open Days (8-11 September 2016).
