We have been notified by Gosport Borough Council that Berkeley Homes has submitted further revisions to their proposal to convert the empty 1st floor of the Grade II* Listed Granary to six new apartments. This floor was originally intended to provide office/commercial space but has never been occupied. The proposals to convert the space from commercial to residential were originally submitted to GBC in July 2020. Following the period of public consultation, revised plans were submitted to GBC in September and November 2020 (see previous posts below).
It appears that the latest proposals (which are again out for consultation) are intended to address some of the objections and comments previously received from residents and other interested bodies/organisations.
These latest amendments include:
Amendments to the proposed Waterfront entrance to the 1st floor (existing entrance photo below)
Cycle storage (residential secure rack inside the proposed new lobby)
No change to the limited site provision for visitor cycle storage
We would like to encourage all residents to have a look at the proposals (including the latest revisions) and comment to GBC.
