Approximately 40 residents enjoyed our Christmas Social at Arty’s on 6th December 2022. We thoroughly enjoyed Arty’s undisputed hospitality with a wide ranging tasty buffet. Tickets included a small drink such as a glass of wine or a half of beer along with the food. Sincere thanks to Kim Henderson, our quiz queen; to Mal Parker-Thompson who ran proceedings on the night; and of course Julie and Jake our ultimate hosts and their staff.
Mal opened proceedings with his welcome speech and humorously compared the rest of the evening (Ant and Dec watch out - Mal is catching up fast!!!). Kim created two challenging but most enjoyable quizzes for us; a short, but still challenging, chocolate & sweet-themed “opener” while we gathered for the evening (top prize a voucher for Afternoon Tea for Two, generously donated by The Pump House cafe) and a separate 50 question festive mammoth (Top prize received a £100 Arty's voucher, generously donated by RCY based yacht brokers, Boatshed.com).
